Students around the world are in limbo due to the current cancellation of in-person university teaching and examinations. It can be easy to feel rather guilty and useless, especially if you are unable to help out clinically. This is why we at Polygeia, a student-led global health think tank from the UK, decided to create a novel research group to accommodate students and start to contribute to the growing pool of research into COVID-19.

Though many students are unable to help clinically, we are affording them an opportunity to get involved in conducting systematic reviews that could be a useful tool for influencing policy and decisions in this difficult time, and which contribute to the growing evidence base around COVID-19 so that we can build up lessons learnt at this time and facilitate pandemic preparedness. We have managed to recruit students from over 4 continents to partake in our research activity, and are mobilizing quickly to match the pace at which COVID-19 research is happening.

Support

We are not seeking funding but rather any assistance that could be offered by experienced academics / research fellows in getting our research published and shared..
